This initiative was created by Susuana.O.M Olatunji Komolafe
as one of the program that will be run and coordinated by the Adcenter here in
Ireland to promote African fabrics and Africa fashion world, showcasing all
various aspect of Africa heritage and culture of fashion. Afro Fashion Show
Ireland allows us to showcase top African Designers in Ireland and Europe to an
audience of fashion lovers, buyers, stylists, media, magazine editors
& public. It is a platform to create networks for Africa Designer's and
Africa Fashion Best. The show is celebrated and organised every March to
celebrate international women day and crown someone as the “Best African
Designer Ireland” each year and recognizing the work of internationally renowned
"Best African Designers". To create Networks that will facilitate
& inspire African Fashion industry growth all over Europe at Large
To showcase Africa's rich talents & our evolving cultures that influence our 'Being' in this global community. This show is now run for three years and personally as the initiator, I use the time of event as a remembrance for the lost of my father Chief Afolabi Olatunji that died on the 1st of 2013 may his soul rest in peace.

We have had 6 different people that participate in the
competition, HelenaKampbell, Akani, House of Maiya, Alice Abec, Chriastiana
Adeyemo and this year current winner Susan Bradley of Ngwane Designs
Christiana is 16 years of age and have 3 sisters and 2
brothers. I was born in Africa continent (Nigeria Osogbo). She came to Ireland
when she was about 7. Being a designer was not always what she wanted to be in
life, in fact she wanted to be a surgeon, a lawyer and many other things and
she was not sure which she wanted to
become. Later on in her life, she noticed she cared about what people wear or
what Ishe wears, Christiana would think about different ways to put an outfit
on and she would just randomly start to draw different styles. She remembers
how she would cut her jeans to make them look more stylists or sew outfits for
my sisters and that is when she knew what she wanted to become. To be honest it
scares me to be a designer said Christiana, she know the world is a very
competitive world now and its either you make it or not but she believe this
was made for her and she will do anything to become a better designer each day
and just leave her dream. She’s the type of person who is very positive about
every aspect of life. There are many things she likes to see, do and
experience. She likes to dream big and
she believes that dreams will come true if you put your heart and soul into it.
Christiana say’s she is a big fan of music as she believe music is the
importance of life and enjoy all types of music but especially RnB, she is also
a good singer. Sometimes you might fail and be disappointed and you will think
you can’t do it but you always have to get up and try again and that is what
motivates Christiana Adeyemo Design every
day.

We are using the Fashion Show to celebrate "International Women's Day 2015 and create Awareness on various Women issues. International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women's Day is a national holiday.

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY "MAKE IT HAPPEN"
6th Friday March is here and i want everyone, friends both close and distance, participant, and guest coming tomorrow to join me in praying for the success and peaceful celebration of the "Afro Fashion Show Ireland 2015" as we join in celebrating the World Day of Prayer, the International Women's Day, creating awareness on the Global Disease Ebola and the continue success of Afro in Diaspora Center here in Ireland and all over the world.
I will be missing the World Day of Prayer in my church but let all keep praying for our-self, each other and everyone out there!
The World Day of Prayer in the Republic of Ireland is part of the global movement of 'Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action'. World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement led by Christian women of many traditions, who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year.
